Our outreach at Rathora extends beyond school walls, creating a network that connects students with their surrounding villages. By involving the girls in donation drives and community efforts, Girlz4Pads helps bridge the gap between education and action, allowing students to positively impact their local communities and distribute menstrual products to those in need.
At Rathora School, Girlz4Pads focuses on empowering girls by providing them with essential menstrual products, encouraging them to take control of their health with dignity. This initiative has helped shift the mindset, turning menstruation into a symbol of strength rather than shame, allowing young women to embrace their femininity and become advocates for change in their communities.
At Rathora, Girlz4Pads has initiated a powerful distribution network that relies on the students themselves to help reach surrounding villages. By training and empowering these girls as ambassadors, the organization enables them to distribute menstrual products to their communities. This approach not only ensures that essential supplies reach those in need but also fosters leadership and advocacy skills among the girls. Through this initiative, they become key agents of change, helping to break down stigma and provide their peers with the dignity they deserve.
Girlz4Pads has garnered significant recognition for its work in Rathora Village, receiving praise from local newspapers for addressing period poverty and improving school attendance through menstrual product donations and education. In addition to media attention, the organization has been formally acknowledged by the CP Board and the Pragyage government for its vital role in empowering girls. These recognitions underscore the impact of Girlz4Pads in fostering sustainable menstrual health solutions and making a lasting difference in the lives of young women in the community.
To foster entrepreneurship, we initiated the Bracelet Project, where girls were encouraged to create and sell bracelets to one another. This not only promoted financial literacy but also instilled a sense of self-reliance and business skills among the students.
Through our outreach, we actively encourage the use of sanitary pads instead of unsafe materials, educating the girls on the health risks of unhygienic practices and empowering them with better options.
We regularly hold seminars in collaboration with medical advisors, creating a safe space for girls to openly discuss periods, ask questions, and learn about menstrual health from trusted professionals.
